Nurse Bernadette Lyssy is currently serving her 5th year at FCISD, and focuses mainly on First Aid. She also encourages attendance by administering medication and treatments to help students be able to be in school. She also guides and instructs students to be healthy and insures that all immunizations are up to date. Not only does Nurse Lyssy keep FCISD students healthy, she also teachers elementary music and provides the schools with Character Counts information. |

Hello! Welcome to my website!I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Health and Science Center. I’ve worked many areas of nursing including medical/surgical, pediatric, emergency and orthopedics. I found amenity in school nursing.I have been a school nurse since 1991. Some of my duties include administering first aid and medications; maintaining health records; assessments of ill students; elementary screening for problems of vision, hearing, spine, and acanthosis nigricans.After school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike and our 3 sons.I enjoy my job very much and look forward to meeting you. Hand in hand together we make a difference! |
