Dual Credit Resources

Falls City High School has had an active dual credit program since the TIF PS6 grant provided the first Picture Tel video conference system.  FCHS staff members have worked closely with the Alamo Community College District, particularly Palo Alto College, Coastal Bend College, Region 3, and most recently, Texas A&M Kingsville University to provide FCHS students with good quality college curriculum delivered via video conference and/or locally with our adjunct professors.  By the time our seniors graduate, most have a minimum of 3 dual credit college hours, many have earned  21 college hours.

The newest phase of the program will provide course work from Texas A&M University-Kingsville Branch that is not limited to local high school students.  Fall 2006 course schedules are being developed to offer continuing education for education professionals and aides throughout the county.

For more information on the dual credit program, the local contact is Kim Moy, the High School Counselor
