On May 3, 2002, FCISD dedicated the new elementary edition and playground to long-time superintendent, Luther Thomas. Mr. Thomas served as superintendent from 1977 through 1994 and after retirement,  served as interim superintendent twice. 

 

The legacy Mr. Thomas leaves is one of unending care, and moderation, and patience in all things.
